Some Dating Ideas…

Love is in the air, my friends, love is in the air. Lots of new relationships have just sprouted, as it is that time of the year again. But what to do? Dinner and a movie, although a traditional stand-by can get a little bit boring after awhile. And thus I have thought of some (what I think are) pretty awesome ideas for dates. Try them out, woo your significant other, and I’ll stop the rest of my comment as to keep this piece PG. Good luck!

Picnic
I have yet to go on a picnic date, and for whatever reason I’ve always wanted to. All you need is a blanket, some food (Feeding the other person? Sexual? Oh yes.), some nice scenery, and stimulating conversation; hopefully the rest will flow from there.

Hike
Hamilton has some amazing trails, I’ve been told. Due to the city’s size as well as geographic locale, there all many different kinds of trails to check out (Hamilton Trail System) Go for a long walk! It gives you the perfect opportunity to hold hands.

Sports
I realize this one is vague, but it can vary sooo much. It could be something as going to football game (We happen to have a decent team and tickets are pretty cheap. We also have the Steel City Kitties in our backyard as well), or it could be something you do together, like rock climbing or going skating or something.

Museums
There are lots of museums in Hamilton. There is the McMaster Museum of Art located on campus, as well as the Art Gallery of Hamilton located in the downtown core. Hamilton also has a variety of civic and historical museums, and is the home of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.

Leaves
Fall is approaching, and the leaves are about to change. Go look at all the pretty foliage. If you have a car, you can go outside of Hamilton and see some pretty awesome locations. There are three websites to check out: the Fall Leaf Report, Great Fall Drives, and the Provincial Parks Fall Leaf Report. If you like to take photos (or they do), I highly suggest you go do this. You can even see my home, as it’s mentioned there a few times.
Gardens
It seems like I’m on a bit of a nature roll. How about go to the Royal Botanical Gardens? It is the largest in Canada, and has all kinds of interesting things to look at. Theatre
Several times each year, students at McMaster put on plays and musicals which are accessible to the public for a very fair price. Check out the signs in the student centre for dates, productions and times.

This isn’t even an exhausted list. You could go to the casino, amusement parks, the beach, concerts, choose your own adventure (every situation has two options, and you decide in the moment), the park, drive-in and many, many more.
